This little house (400 sq ft) is the perfect getaway for an up North visit. This house sleeps 4 plus you may bring tents and camp with an additional 4 people for no additional fees. If you have more than 8, ask the host! It's an additional $25 per person over 8.
You get the whole place, except the farm itself may have people there working or hiking outside. There are 20 acres of beautiful wooded trails. Stay on the trails please and do not eat mushrooms or other wild growing plants.
The space
The wooded farm is 10 miles from Boyne Mountain and within easy driving distance of Boyne City, Gaylord, Petoskey and all the great Northern Michigan adventures. It’s a few miles from Deadman’s Hill Lookout.
This tiny house gives you the tiny house experience, yet it provides more space than most little homes. It has a full bathroom and kitchen and enough space to sleep 4 with the pull out sofa.
Grab dinner at Boyne Mountain which is only 10 miles North or come on a Friday in the summer and enjoy Boyne City’s Stroll the Streets.
5 miles south on 131 is a little Dollar General with a small grocery selection. Or go about 15 miles to Gaylord and grab your favorite treat from Walmart or Meijer and enjoy a dinner out at Lucky’s Steakhouse, Applebee’s, or many other great dining places.
Guest access
The whole house is yours. You may also walk or hike the property which is 20 acres. Stay on the trail please. The property is surrounded by barbed wire fencing so we want you to stay in the paths.
There is, however, a separate structure on the property across the driveway. Others may be working at the farm on projects in the workshop or on the other house there. Please respect the caution tape and don’t enter where it states to not enter.
Other people may also walk the trails as it is a lovely walk and the owners may be out there on occasion.
Other things to note
The cats love their barns. We ask that you not approach them and please do not let them in the house. They were raised as barn cats and adopted through the barn cat rescue. They love to hunt mice and live out in the barns in all weather. They have a heated protected space in the winter and all summer do everything they love. There is a possum at the barn that thinks he is a cat. He is wild. Please don’t approach him or feed him.
