The Captain Doane House is a beautifully renovated home that encapsulates Old World luxury and is just minutes from Harwich Port center. Updated extensively in 2022, this original home has been transformed into an ideal getaway for larger groups and offers something for everyone. Set on a spacious lot with a great deck and lawn, the house offers splendid living space inside and out. Inside the main door you encounter the custom chef's kitchen with all the essentials to prep for any meal. There is a gas and electric stove along with top of the line appliances. The adjacent dining area has seating for up to 13. Head toward the front of the house into the gorgeous living room, small office space and the luxurious primary suite with a King bed and brand new bathroom.
Upstairs you'll find an additional King bedroom that shares access to another renovated bathroom with a room with a queen size bed. All the rooms upstairs have 9-foot ceilings, highly unusual in homes of this vintage. Exposed beams and fireplaces reveal some of the original features. There is an additional bedroom upstairs with a King bed. The final sleeping area is for the kiddos! Two bunk beds sleeping 4-5 are housed in the kid themed room complete with books, games and a TV. There is a final room beyond the bunk room that houses a twin bed as well. There is one final bathroom on this level with a bathtub (no shower).
The Captain Doane House is located just over half a mile to Harwich Port for shopping, dining and perusing. Stumble over to Harwich Port Golf Course for a quick round as well! You're just minutes by car to several beaches and harbors including Bank Street Beach and Wychmere Harbor. Also the Cape Cod Rail Trail is just over a mile away. You are a quick car ride to Long Pond (largest freshwater lake on the Cape!), Chatham, Brewster or Dennis as well. Modern luxury with Old World themes in the heart of Harwich Port!
