Our 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom farm house (Big Blue House) sits on 1 acre and offers amazing views of the Hermosa Cliffs as well privacy and seclusion, yet is only 10 minutes from Historic Downtown Durango and just over 20 minutes to Purgatory Ski Resort. Enjoy an alpine setting with room to roam and exceptional views, while being close to all of the incredible amenities and recreation you come to Durango to experience.
The home is perfect for multiple families as it features 2 living spaces, a large deck that runs the length of the home offering amazing views and a BBQ Grill. The home also features a pool table, foosball table and plenty of parking for multiple vehicles as well as trailers. There are 4 portable AC units which can be moved as needed (mainly on the top floor as the bottom floor stays plenty cool). We offer a green experience, using only natural cleaning products, never any pesticides on the property and non-scented laundry soap and hypo-allergenic pillow cases/linens. The area contains tons of wildlife and organic gardens.
The home is less then a 5 minutes drive to the newly renovated Durango Hot Springs, Dalton Ranch Golf Club as well PJs Market and a great liquor store.

Note a 4 night minimum stay is required except for Christmas/New Years and Spring Break which require a 5 night minimum.
The home is not pet friendly and the fireplaces are decorative (you can't make a fire in them).
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.
