Crafted at Powdermills | House in Battle
16 Bedroom House in Battle
Crafted is a collection of life-friendly hotels and clubs where guests and locals can stay, settle in and fill up on the good stuff: nature, food, wellbeing, craft, social and play. The kind of places people come back to again and again, designed to fit around real life and give you more of the things you love doing. The first location is Crafted at Powdermills, named 'Best Place to Stay in the South East' by The Times and The Sunday Times in March 2026. Based in Battle, East Sussex, and only a 70-minute train from London, the hotel and members' club sits around a 7-acre lake within 78 acres of ancient woodland. With 51 rooms and suites, plus three cottages, a Padel club and hyper-seasonal cooking in The Restaurant and The Pub, Crafted offers a year-round program of wellness, creative workshops, cultural gatherings and outdoor dining. It's a world away from the traditional countryside hotel experience, with life centered around the lake, the woodland and a calendar designed to bring people together. The same setting makes it a natural choice for corporate offsites and private events.
